Essense of Nagano – Kei Kobayashi’s Message –
Chef Kei Kobayashi depicts the Essense of Nagano through his eyes – “Being born and raised in Shinshu, Nagano, I was able to feel the ‘life of ingredients'” says Kobayashi. Along with his culinary philosophy, he introduces the beauty and potential of ingredients from Nagano Prefecture through this video.

【Kei Kobayashi】
Born in Suwa City, Nagano Prefecture. In 1998, he moved to France and trained under Gilles Goujon and Alain Ducasse. In 2011, he opened “Restaurant KEI” in the 1st arrondissement of Paris as the owner chef. In 2020, he became the first Asian chef to receive three Michelin stars in the French edition of the Michelin Guide.
